1 – Start with defining your client attraction strategy
To increase your visibility online you need a plan. Any successful small business has one commonality: a well-thought-through strategy. With a plan in place, you’re set-up for success when it comes to marketing your business digitally. Your marketing strategy should answer the following five questions:
Who is your audience?
What problems does your audience have? (List them and then identify then prioritize them!)
What problems does your service help to solve?
What information can you give your audience that will showcase your expertise and provide high value for your audience?
How can you best present yourself?
2 – Be clear on who you are in business
People want to work with people they feel they know. People they like and people they can trust. You stand out by being more of who you are. Being authentic and genuine in your marketing builds trust.
Think about your natural talents, what are you good at? What stories can you share that will show who you are as a person. Who is the face behind the business, and how much of you do you want to show your audience?
3 – Keep it (so so) simple
To stand out you need to create content that is different and simple. People are busy and do not always have the time to read lengthy pages of text. You need to capture attention quickly and hold it through to your call to action.
Keep it simple. Simplicity breeds success. If you present information in an overly complicated way your audience will be confused. Confusion will not convert.
So, long story short, videos with uncluttered visuals have the most significant impact on your audience. Using voice-overs and speak-to-camera give your audience a way to get to know you. Add an element of entertainment as well and you will rise to the top of rankings and be sure that your content will be seen.
