For counsellors, coaches, therapists, healers and consultants who win clients on trust

The people who need you can’t find you. One video changes that.

You’re good at what you do. The right clients just don’t know you exist yet, and they can only choose you if they can see and hear you first. You don’t need to perform, and you don’t need a ring light.

A therapist recording a voiceover at her laptop in a bright practice room, a phone tripod turned away from her

You know you should do something about this. You just keep closing the tab.

Referrals come in. Sometimes.

Enough to keep going, not always enough to feel steady. And somewhere in the back of your mind, you know that the people who really need what you offer have no idea you exist.

Do you recognise this? You open a browser, think vaguely about making a video or updating your website, feel a wave of something between dread and mild nausea, and close it again.

Next week, maybe.

A counsellor closing her laptop lid in her home office, looking away uneasily

You care, but putting yourself forward feels almost at odds with the kind of work you do. You trained to hold space for other people, to keep the focus on the person in front of you.

Saying “look at me, I can help you” can feel a bit much. Not really you.

And yet. Somewhere out there, someone is searching for exactly what you offer.

They’re reading websites that all sound the same, trying to work out who they can trust. They can’t hear how you think.

They can’t get a sense of whether you’re the right fit. So they pick someone else, or they give up.

Maybe you’ve told yourself you’ll sort it once things calm down. Or that you’re not the kind of person who does video.

Or that you need better equipment, a better background, a better version of yourself before you start. Right?

But here’s the thing. None of those things are actually the problem.

You’ve probably already tried a few things.

Posting on social media. You put something out, got a handful of likes from people who already know you, and wondered what the point was. The people who don’t know you yet didn’t see it.

Reading about video marketing. You know the theory. You’ve saved the articles.

Knowing what you should do and actually doing it are two very different things, right?

Waiting until you feel ready. Ready keeps not arriving. Meanwhile, another month passes and the situation stays exactly the same.

Telling yourself referrals will be enough. Sometimes they are. But relying entirely on word of mouth means your practice grows only as fast as other people remember to mention you.

Watching what everyone else does and deciding it isn’t you. You’ve seen the polished, confident-looking videos and assumed that ease is something other people have. So you’ve done nothing instead.

The real reason video feels so hard, and the idea that makes it manageable.

Most advice about video assumes you want an audience. It assumes you’re trying to become known, build a following, get more views.

That’s not what you’re after, right? You just want the right people to find you, hear how you think, and decide whether you’re someone they want to work with.

That’s a completely different goal. And it needs a completely different approach.

One video, placed in the right spot, can do more work than months of scattered social posts. A short video on your home page or your sales page means that someone who’s never heard of you can spend two minutes with you before they ever have to book a call or send an email.

They hear your voice. They get a sense of how you think.

They start to trust you before you’ve even met.

And that’s a kindness to them. You’re giving the person who needs you a way to recognise that you’re the right fit, without them having to take a leap of faith.

And you don’t need your face on screen to do it. A voiceover on slides is a video.

Your voice, your words, your way of explaining things. That counts.

You decide how much of yourself to show, and you can always add more later when it feels right.

You don’t need a polished, performing version of yourself. You need a real one. The “ums” can stay in. They make you sound like a person.

I’m not going to tell you this is easy. I’ll tell you it’s doable.

I describe myself as a bit of an introvert and a very private person. When my business had to work, really had to work, getting myself known was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I was so introverted that I’d refused to even post a picture of myself.

What changed things was finding a way of being visible that felt comfortable, and that kept the focus on what my clients needed rather than on me performing for an audience. Once I found that, I could keep doing it. Eventually, I could even enjoy it. I’m very well able to laugh at myself, and I can tell you: the version of me who refused to post a photo did not see that coming.

I’m sharing this because I want you to know that the reluctance you feel is simply a sign that nobody has shown you a way that fits how you actually are.

And in their own words, from people who’ve worked with me:

Dr Stephanie S., an energy healer who went through my earlier video marketing programme, put it like this: “Carrie delights in under-promising and over-delivering. As I write this, I have just been listening to her follow-up to one of her online programs that were jam-packed with value, easy to do exercises, and great videos that clearly showed me what to do to engage with my audience.” She started using videos to attract clients and signed her first $8,000 in new work shortly after completing the programme.

Brenda M. said this after her marketing personality analysis with me: “It’s a relief to know I don’t have to try to do everything or be everywhere online, which is what’s been holding me back. I wasn’t doing anything, now I can.”

Tatjana D.

Tatjana D., an experienced counsellor, signed four new clients in the month after one of my workshops. Her words: “Carrie presents information in an easy-to-understand way so that it becomes easy to believe you can do it.”

Introducing

Be Seen, Be Trusted

Your first client-attracting video, even if you’d rather not be on camera.

Be Seen, Be Trusted is a self-paced four-week course for practitioners who win clients on trust and want one real, working video out in the world, for an offer they already have, without performing, without expensive equipment, and without the whole thing taking over their life.

Be Seen, Be Trusted: the course cover beside a lesson playing on a tablet

What you’ll work through, week by week.

1. Where video earns its keep

Before you record a single word, you’ll work out where one video does the most work for you. Your home page, your About page, a sales page, a welcome email, a social post. Each placement has a different job to do. You’ll leave this module knowing the one place your first video belongs, so you’re not making something and hoping for the best.

2. What to say

This is where most people get stuck, staring at a blank screen wondering how to start. You’ll get a clear structure for a client-attracting video, an opener that draws the right person in, and a call to action that doesn’t make you cringe. You’ll know what to say before you ever press record.

3. Tech on a budget, and the nerves

Your phone is enough. You don’t need a ring light, a microphone or editing software for your first video. This module covers what you actually need, and it covers the nerves too, because they’re real and pretending otherwise helps nobody. You’ll find out what to do when your mind goes blank, and why the imperfect version is often the one that works.

4. Put it out and get it seen

Recording it is one thing. Publishing it is another. This module walks you through getting your video out into the world and into the place where it can start doing its job, so it doesn’t sit in a folder on your desktop for the next six months.

By the end of four weeks, you’ll have this.

Is this for you?

It’s for you if

  • You’re a counsellor, coach, therapist, healer or consultant and you win clients when people trust you.
  • You have at least one offer, and you’d like the right people to find it.
  • You’ve been putting this off, and you know it.
  • You’re open to starting with a voiceover on slides if that’s what it takes to get something out.
  • You want a practical, step-by-step process, not a motivational talk about why visibility matters.

It’s probably not for you if

  • You already make videos regularly and you’re looking for advanced strategy.
  • You want to grow a large following or become an influencer.
  • You’d like someone else to film and edit for you.
  • You don’t have an offer yet.

Questions people ask before they join

Do I have to show my face?

No. The course starts with the no-face option, because a voiceover on slides is a video. Your voice, your words, your way of explaining things. That’s enough to let someone hear how you think. You decide how much of yourself to show, and you can always change that later.

I’m not techy and I don’t have any equipment.

Your phone is enough. Module 3 covers exactly what you need, and it’s less than you think. You don’t need a ring light, a microphone or editing software for your first video. If you can record a voice message on your phone, you can do this.

What if I freeze?

That’s covered in Module 3, because it happens to most people and pretending otherwise isn’t useful. You’ll find out what to do when your mind goes blank, and you’ll also find out why the imperfect take is often the one that actually connects with people. The “ums” can stay in, right?

When does the course start, and how does it work?

Lessons open one a week, starting Monday 7 December 2026. There are four modules in total, so your first video will be out in the world by the end of week four. You work through each lesson in your own week, and you can ask questions by replying to any lesson email.

What should my first video be about?

An offer you already have. You don’t need to create anything new. Module 1 helps you work out the one place your first video does the most work, whether that’s your home page, your About page, a sales page or somewhere else, so you’re not guessing.

I’ve thought about doing something like this before and never followed through. What’s different here?

But here’s the thing. Most courses about video assume you want to become a content creator. This one assumes you don’t. The whole structure is built around getting one real video out, for an offer you already have, in a way that fits how you actually are. You won’t be performing or posting constantly: just one video, in the right place, doing its job.

The person who needs you is looking right now.

They’re reading websites, trying to work out who they can trust. They haven’t found you yet, because they can’t hear how you think.

One video, in the right place, changes that. It doesn’t need to be polished or brave.

It just needs to be there, sounding like you.
