Kate came to me struggling to get clients. She described herself, in her own words, as "tech-illiterate". She attracts the people she wants to work with into her world and knows who is serious about change.
From Invisible to Chosen · a free live workshop with Carrie Wallis
You know how to help people. Getting them to hire you is a different skill.
A free live, action-oriented workshop where you complete three exercises and leave with the words that make the right person think, “That’s me.”

Does any of this sound familiar?
You've trained hard. You're good at what you do. People who work with you get results.
But when someone asks what you do, the answer comes out broad. General. Something like: "I help people with their wellbeing" or "I support people through difficult times."
And you watch their eyes slide past you.
You know your work inside out. Describing it in a way that makes one specific person think that's exactly what I need is genuinely hard. Most practitioners were never taught how to do it.
So they stay visible to no one in particular, and wonder why the phone isn't ringing.
This is what I've come to understand after more than 20 years running my own business, serving amazing practitioners: clarity is the thing.
The moment you can name one person and one problem with enough precision that that person feels seen, everything shifts and you start to effortlessly attract new clients.
This workshop is where we do that work.
What changes in 90 minutes
The workshop runs around 90 minutes and includes practical exercises, so you'll be doing, not just listening.
You'll put your answers on paper in your own hand, and there's something about that which makes the words feel truer and more yours, rather than something borrowed from someone else's bio.
You won't leave with a to-do list or a recording to get to later. You'll leave with answers: your own words, worked out and written down, ready to use the moment you close Zoom. And there's live Q&A at the end, so anything still sitting sideways for you, we'll work through together.
You'll walk away with:
1
Clarity on exactly who you're talking to, specific enough that the right person recognises themselves straight away
2
The words for what you do and what you offer, in the language your clients actually use
3
A way of describing your work that sounds like you, not like a marketing template
4
The confidence of having it written down and knowing it's right
You'll know this is for you if...
This workshop is for practitioners whose work depends on trust, and who know their marketing isn't doing that work justice yet.
- You've been in practice for a while and clients do come, but not as consistently as you'd like, and you can't quite put your finger on why.
- You're newer, and when someone asks what you do, you give a different answer every time and none of them feel quite right.
- You've been told to "niche down", and every attempt has felt like closing the door on people you want to help.
- You're online, or trying to be, and it feels like you're talking and nobody's listening.
You don't need to be technical, and you don't need a website, a following, or anything already set up before you come.
What this kind of clarity makes possible
Tatjana D., an experienced counsellor, signed four new clients in the month after a workshop with me. She didn't suddenly get better at her work. What people could see of her finally matched what she could do. In her words: "Carrie presents information in an easy-to-understand way so that it becomes easy to believe you can do it."
That kind of clarity starts in the workshop.
About Carrie Wallis
I'm a counsellor, master coach, certified copywriter, digital marketeer and creative strategist. Before I built my own practice, I worked in the world of IT for over 10 years, becoming a Head of IT, so I've spent time on both sides of the desk: the corporate world and the deeply human work of helping people change. I've been running my own business for more than twenty years.
I'm the author of the best-selling book From Strangers to Clients, and I train, assess and mentor practitioners for the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors and the Life Coaching Institute of Australia.
I was widowed young, with two small children. That forced me to look at my practice as a business in a way I hadn't before. I had to get rigorous about what worked, and build systems that brought clients in reliably, not just occasionally. What I learned then is the foundation of everything I teach.
I'm not sharing that for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I want you to know that what I teach came from necessity, and it works.
Questions people ask before they register
Is it free?
Yes, completely. There’s no charge to attend.
Will there be a recording?
This workshop runs live, and the exercises are where you get the value: they’re what give you the clarity. So please plan to be there on the day.
Do I need to be technical?
Not at all. It runs online on Zoom, so you’ll need a device that connects to the internet and the link, which you’ll get when you register. Beyond that, there’s nothing to set up and no technical skill required.
I’m brand new to practice. And what if I’ve been in practice for years?
It’s for both. If you’re newer, getting clear on your person and your offer early saves a lot of time later. If you’ve been in practice for years, I find experienced practitioners often get the most from this, because the habit of describing things broadly has had longer to settle in.
What do I need to bring?
Paper and a pen, a quiet space where you can think and write, and a device to join the Zoom room. That’s it.
What if I can’t make that time?
This is a live, interactive workshop. The exercises happen in real time, and the value is in doing them together, with guidance, and in the Q&A that follows. Look at what you can move in your diary to be there, and put it in now, before something else fills the slot.
